We aim to break the cycle of recidivism

For most women leaving incarceration, freedom comes with nowhere to land. Without an address, a steady job is almost impossible. Without work or a home, many are left with no real choice but to return to the very circumstances that put them away. It is one of the quietest, most preventable causes of recidivism in our communities, and it is exactly where our work begins.

We welcome women coming home from prison, jail, and treatment centers, and we walk with them through the first, hardest stretch of starting over. Housing and meals are provided from day one. The first thirty days are quiet time, dedicated to sorting out legal matters, earning a driver's license, building a resume, and reconnecting with who they are. From there, residents work in our thrift shop, find a job of their own within ninety days, and stay as long as they need to truly stand on their own.

What we are building is bigger than one house. On a single piece of land, we are creating a whole community of tiny homes, starting with ten, and growing toward seventy. A neighborhood of fresh starts, with room for many women to rebuild at the same time, and the foundation for more communities to come.

Because dignity is not a luxury. It is the ground a new life is built on.
